msg: I heard your wonderful voice about a year ago while having lunch in Redlands, CA. At first I would have sworn I was listening to a new song by Norah Jones(please take that as a compliment). I asked the owner of the restaurant who I was listening to and he told me it was Louise Taylor and the song was(I think) Something Like T. That was all the info he could get fom the satellite radio deal. I checked for a while in different music stores for any cd's but struck out. I just remembered at work today about my quest and found samples on the net. I plan to purchase all of your music over time. The only other artists I feel this strongly about are Chris Isaac and Norah Jones.

I have been wanting to hear you again, but we have moved to MA (near the MA, NY, anc CT borders. I see you are doing a private house concert on Dec. 9 in Norfolk, CT, which is close to me. Your Skirball concert was so great...I'm still thinking about how your thumb pounded out the rhythms while your voice cruised all around on top of it. It was awesome! And I love the way you incorperate octaves in the melody. It is so hip! My wife pointed out that she felt you were influenced by Tim Buckley...is she right? Also, I tried to locate a guitar like the one you borrowed...the "gold top" Tele. Couldn't find one anywhere. Was it custom make for your friend?

I know it has been some time since the Cream of Vermont was produced, but the Arts Council is finally getting around to holding a Release Party! It will be on Sunday, June 26th, on the Burlington waterfront, in conjunction with the Green Mountain Chew Chew. As part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations, the Council signed on as festival sponsor and we would like to showcase the artists that appeared on the Cream of Vermont CD. I am writing to see if you are available that date and interested in performing.

We have a very small budget for the event and are hoping to feature 6-7 acts, each doing one 45-minute set. If you are available, I am hoping you will consider performing for $250 (plus some tokens for the food tents!) Please let me know if you have an interest in pursuing this. Rick Norcross, the Chew Chew producer, is beginning to put together his promotional materials so I am working to get folks lined up as soon as possible.

Louise, It's been so many years since I last saw you' you'll probably be a little foggy even remembering me. We hung out with your Dad in Miami and saw the old man of the Flying Wallenda's tightwire act walk between the Eden Roc and Fontainbleu Hotel about 80 feet above the ground on a rainy and windy night.
